Striders, Gunships, perhaps some. of those others Combine Synths you can see in the Citadel but never have to fight. They couldn't. have sent in Combine Soldiers, because they weren't "created" yet. If there's an infinite rocket crate around the place then you know you have to kill the Strider, if there isn't a crate you just have to hide from the Strider and find a way out of that area. #2. Also, as soon as I've killed off my last group, another decides that following Freeman is the best idea in the world! I just don't get it, surely they would have the common sense to not follow freeman after seeing his previous crew shot to smitherines by the combine.
